The band is a favorite act in the independent scene. It started its musical journey in 2014 and its band members comprise Lindsay D'Mello, Sonu Sangameswaran, and Herschel Gulve. Catastrophic Disintegration (CD) was formed in 2011 by Kunal, Nelson and Niranjan. Kishor joined in as a lead guitarist in the mid-year, followed by Pratik on bass in 2012. Later, Lenin joined the band on keyboard in the early 2014. It is an alternative rock band from Ambernath, influenced by Metallica, Dream Theater, Opeth, Creed, and Three Days Grace. Azaadi was the very first project of the band, which was completed and recorded on 31 December 2011 followed by Banjare on 30 May 2012. The band is mainly influenced by rock and classical music, and follows alternative rock classical genre. They performed their latest track called Katputli, at the recent Hillside Rock Festival held at Urban Haat, CBD Belapur. Boombay Djembe Folas is a five-piece LIVE band based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. The band consists of an energetic group of drummers who play conventional rhythms. The love for the music brought these drummers together to form a power pact band! Besides drumming, they create interaction with the crowd via singing African songs and clapping. Bombay Rockers is a Danish/Indian LIVE duo based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. Their debut album, Introducing, has gone five times platinum with sales of over 100,000 albums. In 2002, the Indian singer, Navtej Singh Rehal (Naf), was acquainted with the Scandinavian producer-team WCA (Janus Barnewitz and Thomas Sardorf) and started out mixing a hybrid of hip hop, RnB, and Bhangra-influenced vocals, reflecting on their diverse cultural backgrounds. Naf delivers the Punjabi vocals. Thomas, also 27, performs with English vocals. Their first collaboration, Ari Ari, got extensive national airplay in Denmark and became a pick of left field DJs. In 2003, Bombay Rockers went on stage with the house duo, Filur, at Roskilde Festival in front of roughly 25,000 people. A month later, they were playing in the Images of Asia Festival as well as playing numerous shows in Copenhagen and the rest of Denmark; they performed with the famous English DJ project Panjabi MC in 2003. Sexy Mama, their follow-up, released in late 2003, was the first official single from their album called Introducing. This track again received airplay all over the country. The next hit original, Rock tha Party, became a major radio hit. It was published on various compilations released in Denmark throughout 2004. While their third single and video for Wild Rose (shot in Dubai) and debut album, Introducing, was supported in Denmark, Bombay Rockers' première album was released in more than 32 countries worldwide in 2005. The Rockers are currently enjoying fabulous triumph in India and Pakistan. Their album has sold more than 100,000 copies and has now gone five times platinum. It was #1 for 15 consecutive weeks on the Indian album charts.
Antarman is a LIVE band based out of the finance capital of India, Mumbai. They are about connecting with one’s emotions to the uninfluenced truth of oneness. Antarman is the name of their first album as well. This album focuses on folk music from the eastern parts of India, especially Assam and Bengal. The band is primarily an outcome of pure passion for music, conceived and created by Pooja Shankar, Randeep Bhaskar, and Rahul Mukherjee. The endeavour of Antarman is to collaborate and mix the folk music from every part of India in their music, with a vision to promote folk music rendered in a contemporary form. Aniruddha is a professional singer based out of the finance capital of India. The 19-year old guitarist/vocalist dabbles in Bollywood-pop and electronic pop, writing catchy compositions and lyrics. He has been performing vocals since his school years and picked up the guitar in 11th grade. His drive and determination has made him a fluent guitar player only in a short span. He has performed 40+ shows and also taken part in several band competitions along with his bands - Alchemy and Augmented. He also had the opportunity to perform with Siddharth Slathia who commended him and his band for a terrific show. Abhanga Repost is a five-piece LIVE band based out of Mumbai, Maharashtra.Tracing back to 2014, it was a tough time how to present Abhangas to the masses. And then, the band came up with this idea of fusing abhangas into modern music, though preserving the essence and richness of the verses and its message. And after a long research and struggle, Abhanga Repost was born. The band started with bass guitarist, Swapnil Tarphe, and drummer, Dush Dev, and later joined by tabla player, Viraj Acharya, who also percieved the same interest, followed by Ajay Vavhal being the band's guitarist and lead vocalist. They both got into the thought of adding someone who was very efficiently versed about abhangas as well as a folk instrument player and after long days of searching, they met Viraj Acharya, an engineering student and an excellent percussionist, posessing common interest. After performing at many venues, Ajay Vavhal and Suyog Gosavi approached the trio for being a part of the band. They mentioned that the only justice they both could do to themselves was by being a member of Abhanga Repost by giving vocals and playing guitars. They play all from full range of power electric sets to simple acoustic gigs. Abhanga Repost only performs abhangas written by saints by fusing it with rock, folk, punk rock, jazz, reggae, fusion, and many more. Pritam Ghoshal is a professional sarod player based out of the capital city of India, New Delhi. He was born into a musical family – Late Shri Jaharlal Ghoshal, his grandfather, used to play the percussions and was a renowned singer. He is survived by a number of disciples today. Shri Arun Kumar Ghoshal, Pritam’s father, and two uncles – Shri Arup Kumar Ghoshal and Shri Barun Kumar Ghoshal – are expert violin, tabla, and singer, respectively, as well. Pritam’s first lesson in vocal music started at the age of 14 under the tutelage of his father. He subsequently came into contact with Shri Pranab Naha, a disciple of the great sarod maestro, Pandit Radhika Mohan Moitra. Shri Naha introduced Pritam to the sarod. After the initial three years of Talim, he was fortunate to receive the blessings of Ustad Amjad Ali Khan, the great sarod maestro; in 1995, he accepted Pritam as his disciple.
