Sugi Manoj is a professional DJ based out of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. Starting his career in 2007, he learnt the art of scratching from various experts in the field. Later, he moved on to electronic dance music and gained massive success. Currently, he is learning the trade of music production. His unique style of DJing and passion towards music has earned him overwhelming support from the industry's most recognized artists. Manu Krishnan is a professional percussionist based out of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. He is talented drummer and teacher, famous for his progressive drumming skills. He has been a demanded session drummer for genres like RnB, blues, fusion, and film industry circles. Manu's father introduced him to the music world when he was just five years old; he taught him Indian Carnatic vocal. He was only eight when he began with learning Mridangam, an Indian percussion instrument. This marked the beginning of his journey as a percussionist. Manu began to learn drums when he turned 14. Later, he began to perform as a solo artist and won several state-level competitions during his higher-secondary school days. He later opted for a diploma in Sound Engineering from Chennai. He then continued his studies from the Trinity College of Music (London). Manu has deep connections with heavy rock he has gradually progressed himself into metal. Conversational and funny — that’s how Aditya Ravindran, co-founder and vocalist of city-based Tamil rock band Pithukuli, describes their music. Founded last year, after Aditya and fellow KM Conservatory student Karthik Manickavasakam composed a folk rock song titled Kadavule for a college concert. The five-piece acoustic band went on to gain more plaudits for the same song when a few producers from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) came to record Indie bands in the city. This prompted them to continue playing in more concerts and festivals (such as Fete de la Musique and IndiEarth Xchange) after roping in more members — guitarist Sreedev, bassists Prateek Naganatham and Anand Ramesh plus Roshan Singh Chabbara on percussions, who will be replaced by Bishwanath YR for the their upcoming performance at Unwind Center. As not all of their audience know Tamil, Aditya and his team try to keep it simple by composing songs based on some of their daily conversations.
