Artists who have influenced him are John Mayer, Adam Levine, Bill Withers. Alternative, rock and blues are the genres he usually plays.
Frank’s Got The Funk is an indie pop rock LIVE band based out of the capital city of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The band was founded in the year 2009. The band is primarily inspired by progressive and electronic rock. Bjorn Surrao, frontman of the band, began it as a five-piece band, but today it is only a two-piece band. FGTF has won several competitions like Deepwoods, NXG Rockstar, Strawberry Fields, IIT Saarang, and many more. The band has also headlined in several colleges. Aver is a LIVE band based out of the capital of Tamil Nadu, Chennai. The band was formed in 2015 and plays fusion music. The eight-piece Indian contemporary band draw their influences from classical, folk, pop, country, EDM, and dubstep music. They play in a variety of languages to cater to all generations and bring uniqueness to their music. Their name comes from the Latin word, ‘Aver’ which means 'to assert or affirm with confidence,' in addition to its Malayalam meaning, 'they,' representing humanity as a whole. They have played at a lot of venues in and around Chennai like college fests and private and corporate events. Kailash Joshi is a professional singer from Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He completed his classical vocal music course from Bhatkhande Music Institute, Lucknow and cleared his UGC-NET in music. He loves to listen to the ghazals that were performed by Begum Akhtar, Ustaad Ghulam Ali, Mehndi Hasan, Jagjit Singh and Ghalib. Kailash was drawn towards ghazals and fell for the sweet language, Urdu, and took lessons in the language to understand the lyrics of famous songs. He received training from Ustaad Ahmed Hussain and Mohd. Hussain (Jaipur Gharana). Enjoying Sufi music, Kailash sings bhajans, ghazals and thumris. He is in the panel of the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) and sings on All India Radio (AIR); Kailash has also performed for Doordarshan. He has also been an active participant in shows such as Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, X-Factor and Ghazalsara and been awarded the prestigious title of Lucknow Youth Icon. In 2011, Kailash was a Top 24 Finalist in X-factor India which was broadcasted on Sony TV.
He started his career as a Dj in the year 2007 playing for New Year Parties which were organized by me and a few friends. He has also played for Kingfisher Airlines back in 2007 and after a few months started doing private parties, corporate events and beach house parties. He has done some remarkable commercial business by playing at Chipstead in Taj Coromandel, Distil in Taj Connemara, Flying Elephant in The Park Hyatt, Zodiac in The Accord Metropolitan & Purple Room in The President Hotel. He also played alongside DJ Kave (India’s No1 Turntablist), DJ Kanna (India’s No1 Hip-Hop artist), DJ Shan, DJ Espy, DJ Cyrus, DJ Prasanth & DJ Deepu. In July 2012 he completed a CDJ course at The Scratch Lab Chennai, trained under DJ Kave, DJ Shan & DJ Espy.

Currently residing in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, he has been indulged with the world of music right since the age of ten.
