Shringar is a LIVE band and dance troupe based out of the capital city of Karnataka, Bangalore. It is the concept of Iman Das; the band is a classical fusion band mixing ragas with pop, ghazals, modern song, evergreen thumries and kathak dance. A quest for eternal melody, Shringar is one of the nine rasas, usually translated as erotic love, romantic love, or as attraction or beauty. Rasa means ‘flavor’, and the theory of rasa is the primary concept behind classical Indian arts including theatre, music, dance, poetry, and even sculpture. Shringar is out to prove that music has no boundaries and all genres are under only one sky. Iman das is considered to one of the finest exponents of the Patiala Gharana of the present generation. A senior disciple of Pt Ajoy Chakraborty, Pt Shantanu Bhattacharya and Pt Kalyan Basu, he is a rare blend of talent and riyaz. Fringe Medusa is a four-piece LIVE band based out of Bangalore, Karnataka. Initially called The Michael Scofield Trio and consisting of Soumya, Michael, and Prashanth, the band expanded itself in songwriting. In a few weeks, the trio had a few originals to their name. Drown Silence is a LIVE band based out of the IT capital of India, Bangalore. The rock band started in 2013. Drown Silence began as a two-piece, just consisting of Sharjes and Sam. After a year of recording music, in between day jobs, the duo decided to take the music to the stage. Divine Raaga released – I'm Divine Raaga, their first studio album, in July 2014. After several years of writing original music, they chose seven compositions out of their collection. The emphasis of the band lies in the storytelling part. Most of the tracks are based on famous ragas of Hindustani classical music, while other are based on various folk forms. The album has used a lot of traditional instruments of India, like Esraj, bamboo flute, Morching, Khanjira, and conch shell (shankh). The band recorded at four studios in Delhi for the album, while the mixing and mastering was done by Ashish Manchanda at FCP, Mumbai. In conclusion, the album is a colorful palette of songs that go seamlessly with the band's reputation. These Bangalore fellows have been performing with other bands since 2013.
